Next Generation Data Center SSD Player Appoints Industry Veteran Rich Warwick as VP of Engineering and Operations

Austin, TX (PRWEB) January 19, 2011 - Eonsil, Inc. a leading developer of next generation enterprise class solid state drives (SSD), today announced the appointment of Rich Warwick as Vice President of Engineering and Operations. Rich will report directly to Khursheed Hassan, President and CEO. Rich brings to Eonsil over 24 years of industry and startup experience. Most recently, Rich was SVP of Engineering and Operations at NextIO, Inc. At NextIO, he delivered the industry’s first and most advanced datacenter I/O Virtualization silicon, hardware and software platform using PCI Express. Prior to NextIO, Rich was instrumental in a turn-around at NovusEdge Inc. by rebuilding R&D and manufacturing as VP of Engineering & Operations. Before NovusEdge, Rich co-founded D2Audio (acquired by Intersil) a pioneer of digital audio amplifier solutions and served as its VP Engineering. Rich lead the D2Audio team to achieve the unprecedented roll-out, from hiring their first engineer to production silicon in 10 months. Earlier as VP/GM of the Commerce Applications Division of Vignette Corp, he was part of the executive team that grew the revenues from $90M to over $360M. Rich also held senior positions at Cirrus Logic, Crystal Semiconductor and IBM. Rich holds a B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech. “Rich’s broad expertise and a strong track record of execution in silicon, enterprise software and data center class appliances will be instrumental in delivering Eonsil’s enterprise SSD product portfolio to the market.
