RaySpeed™ Nand Flash Controller IP RaySpeed™ Nand Flash Controller IP is an innovative solution from EONSIL, designed to address the requirements of the ever evolving Nand flash devices. At the heart of the controller is the patent-pending micro-coded processor engine, Multi eXectution Flash Processor MXFP™ and a powerful TPFIS™ instruction set. The core is designed from ground up to address the needs of past, present and future Flash devices. The fundamental design philosophy behind the RaySpeed controller is maximize firmware flexibility and ease of use while minimizing the software overhead like interrupts, pre and post data processing. The controller provides innumerable ways to control the attached bank of flash devices.

• Highly parallel BCH (Bose Chaudhuri Hocquenghem) Encoder/Decoder with 4 and 8 bits
  of error correction per sector (optional 24/40 bits and more)
• Completely aysnchronous Nand flash and system AHB clock, allows for freedome for
  system optimization
• ROMLESS boot from SLC and MLC flash devices.Auto Error correction and other features
  for robust boot.
• 16 Channel DMA engine, allows MB's of data to be stored in flash from fragmented
  system memory space or conversely read and placed in different segments of the
  system memory.
• Independent DMA channels for data and spare area, frees up firmware from any data
  packing/unpacking.
• ONFI 1.0 and 2.x compatible (optional Toggle Mode 1.0/2.0)
